The K’omoks First Nation, the original inhabitants of the area, referred to this part of Vancouver Island as the Land of Plenty, and for good reason. Mild winters, warm weather and rich, abundant natural resources made the Comox Valley an ideal place to both farm and find food in its natural environment.
